Cronkite’s “Gay Raiders”
A jewel from the CBS archives: the day legendary CBS newsman Walter Cronkite met the gays. A rare look at the newscast that was interrupted by one of the “Gay Raiders” in December 1973 to protest CBS’ lack of coverage on gay rights. Ross Palombo reports.
